Speaker: Peter Huybers, Climate Scientist, Harvard. How can public art projects spur awareness around climate? Join scientists, artists, designers, activists and policy folk for an informal evening of networking and brainstorming to explore this question.
This month we'll explore notions of risk around climate change, guided by a short introductory talk by Harvard's Peter Huybers. Then we'll split into groups to dream up and plan new projects around this theme, as well as review projects that are underway for April, May and beyond. ClimateArtPizza is a low-key, monthly gathering bringing small groups of artists and designers together with climate/energy scientists and other creative types. Over pizza and drinks, we brainstorm and plan collaborative art and design pieces to reach broad audiences on climate change. Projects created at previous CAPs include a new series of public ocean-themed picnics called Blue Dinners and a video installation meant for snow.
